We Listen To You!

Here at Fishers we welcome all feedback from our customers and are continually striving to improve, maintain and develop our facilities in order to provide our customers with a safe and happy day out that the whole family can enjoy.

Over the Summer we logged a huge variety of comments from our visitors – one of which was that you wanted a bigger and better area for Baby Changing...so we waved our magic ‘Fishers’ wand this month and ‘The Fishers Team’ have created the new ‘Baby Care Centre’.

Joanne & Simon Butcher-Collier (who have been Annual Members at the Park for 7 years!) commented “It’s really spacious, user-friendly and it’s great that it has a ‘nappy-chute’ as it means the room stays smelling nice! Lola loves the mobiles on the ceiling when she’s being changed and it’s brilliant to have the option of nursing in a private, comfortable area rather than sitting squashed in a corner next to a smelly nappy bin -which you get in some places!”

If you have a great idea for improvement or any feedback to improve our facilities please feel free to contact us on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Halloween Shriek Week Success!

What a success 'Shriek Week' has proved to be this Halloween...

The girls on the farm have slipped on their dancing shoes and delivered a fantastic 'Spook Show' in our Barn Theatre alongside the loveable 'Willy the Wizard!'. Not only that, this week Fishers launched the brand new 'Goryent Express' ghost tunnel, where actors await the unsuspecting visitors and there were a number of those this week!

Children were running around inside the Pumpkin Patch with brightly painted faces enjoying the 'Blood Burgers' and 'Battered Bites'! So much fun was had by all, we just can't wait till next Halloween...!!

Baa-rilliant New Arrivals!

We have some new members of the family to introduce to you here at the park this Autumn...!

Pictured left here is 'Magnus' our 3 year old Shetland Ram. Following the sad departure of 'Sam' our Southdown Ram last season, Magnus will be stepping into his shoes for the up and coming 'tupping season' where he will meet all of our breeding ewes. The 'Shetland' breed of sheep originally came from The Shetland Islands (as you probably guessed!) but share many similarities with the Spaelsau and Vilsau sheep of south western Norway. In 1977 they were classed as category 3 (endangered) by the Rare Breed Survival Trust, but by 2002 they were removed from the RBST list of supported breeds as they had become so popular for their lovely wool!

The new arrival here on the right is 'Muffin' our Toggenburg Nanny goat. She has made great friends with Chester and Sooty the Alpacas, and will slowly be introduced to the other goats here over the next few months. She is only a youngster still and was born in April this year. She's got a lovely nature and we're hoping to include her eventually in the 'Animal Show' in our theatre. Toggenburg's originate in Switzerland (Obertoggenburg to be precise!) and are often credited as being the oldest known dairy breed of goat!

'Hawking About' on Birds of Prey Day

What a fantastic day we had this Saturday at our 'Birds of Prey Day' at the park!

The day was presented by a local organisation 'Hawking About' based in Rustington, West Sussex. They spend hours and hours each day training these beautiful creatures and it was evident during the day what love they have for their animals. The gentleman in question are Kevin Lochner, colleague & friend Frank and presenter Tony.

Frank brought along owls 'Athena' (pictured left) the Bengal Owl, 'Pepper' the Burrowing Owl & 'Icarus' (pictured right) the Barn Owl. Kevin brought along the 3 beautiful Harris Hawks named 'Storm', 'Skye' and 'Aimee' (pictured right). The displays and performances during the day were hosted by 'Tony' and what a wonderful job they all did!

'Hawking About' provide Hawk Walks & Hunting Trips and cater for one-on-one sessions, groups, families and schools. With Christmas coming up we think this would be a lovely a present to give someone! To book your own 'Bird of Prey Day' call 07519 925576.

Bank Holiday Babies...

Tammy the Tamworth has finally popped - hooray! She gave birth to a litter of 10 piglets between about 6pm-8pm last night. Gerald (the boar) heard the news last night and has apparently gone straight to the pub! (joke!)

Mummy and babies are all fine - though Tammy is understandably a little tired!  We've named the little black runt of the litter 'Flower' and are waiting for you all to visit and help us name the others. Once these ones have got bigger they'll be training for Pig Racing...'Chubbs' (pictured left) may need to go easy on the milk!

Did you know that a Sow (female pig) is pregnant for exactly 3 months 3 weeks and 3 Days?!
